How can I sell my luxury items on Luvant South Africa?

To sell an item, you need to create a seller account. Once your account is set up, you can list your items by providing detailed descriptions and high-quality photos. Our team will review your listing before it goes live.

What are the seller fees?

Our platform charges a commission fee on each sale. The fee structure is transparent and will be detailed during the listing process. Luvant works at 35% commission, after sale has commenced we do intend not price items higher than their retail rates.

How do I get paid?

Once your item is sold and delivered to the buyer, your payment will be processed. You can choose your preferred payment method in your seller account settings.

What happens if my item doesn't sell?

If your item doesn't sell within a specified period, you have the option to relist it or request a return. Details on this process are available in your seller account.

Product Conditions

What are the condition categories for items sold on Luvant South Africa?

Items listed on our platform fall into the following condition categories:

New with Tags (NWT) Items that are brand new and have never been used, with original tags and packaging intact.
New without Tags (NWOT) Items that are brand new and have never been used, but without original tags.
Like New Items that have been used once or twice but show no signs of wear. These items are in near-perfect condition.
Very Good Items that have been gently used and show minimal signs of wear, such as slight scuffs or marks that are not immediately noticeable.
Good Items that have been used regularly and show noticeable signs of wear, such as minor scratches, marks, or faded areas.
Fair Items that are heavily used and show significant signs of wear, such as prominent scratches, stains, or other defects. These items are still functional but may need repair or refurbishment.
Fairly Worn Items that are heavily worn with not much love but for a good price to love.

Shipping and Delivery

Who handles the shipping?

Sellers are responsible for shipping their items to buyers. We provide guidelines and preferred carriers to ensure smooth transactions. However for some case we can handle the shipping on behalf of the seller but at the seller's cost

How much does shipping cost?

Shipping costs vary depending on the item's size, weight, and destination. During the checkout process, shipping costs will be calculated and displayed.

Can I ship internationally?

Yes, we support international shipping. Ensure you comply with the destination country's customs regulations and duties.

What is Consignment?

Consignment means you bring in items to sell and the store (Luvant) will select and sell items for you, retaining a 30% portion of the proceeds. When your item sells, you get a percentage of the selling price. Consigning is a great way to make space for unwanted items from your closet and make money towards purchasing new ones.

Where do you get your stock / can I bring items in?

All of our stock comes from fashionistas like you! We all have pieces in our closet that are great, but no longer suited for us; it’s only fitting that you consign and they find a lovely home.

Is there a limit to how many items I can bring / why does it have to be seasonal?

The number of items you can bring in may change based on the stock levels of the store. Luvant does its best to ensure that the store is not overcrowded or cluttered so that our customers have an excellent shopping experience. We also want your items here at the best possible time to sell, which means keeping things seasonal.

Who pays for shipping costs?

The seller has the responsibility to pay for delivery costs if they decide to courier to the showroom, same applies if they would like their items returned. Buyers incur the costs of delivery once purchase has been made.

What if my items don't sell?

If your items don't sell, you can pick them up or have them couriered (seller’s expense) at the end of their consignment term. Secondly, you can decide to have the prices decreased or place on sale.

Do you offer refunds or exchanges?

Due to the nature of the business, we do not offer exchanges and our return policy is 3 working business days.

What should I bring my items in?

In their packaging dustbags, boxes or any protective material.

What condition should my items be in?

Excellent condition, the name pre-loved simply means an item that was once loved, always loved, and can still make someone else feel happy and loved.
